Congratulation to Big Rok Angus, Detroit Lakes, MN for purchasing 2/3 interest and full possession of this young herd sire.

Flash: The top calves in the 2007 Twin Oaks Angus calf crop are calves out of 633's full sisters and his grand dam. Lots of cow power behind this young sire.

This outstanding son of the deceased SAV Bandolier 1916 is one of the very best 1916 sons raised to date at our Twin Oaks Angus Farm. "Bandolier 633" scanned an Adj. %IMF of 5.84, an Adj. REA of 13.7 on a 1278 pound scan weight.

His sire: SAV Bandolier 1916 comes from some of the most outstanding genetics in the breed. He has made such an impact for us and many across the USA, Canada, and Australia. Just incredible cow families are behind 1916 and you can read all about this on his link on the Herd Sire page.

His dam: TO 837 Lucy 221 is without question one of our top young donor cows on the place. She has made pathfinder on her first 3 calves. She is a model cow that stays in such good flesh on grass and her pathfinder status proves she raises a top calf in our cow herd.

The production from Lucy 221 is no accident. She is an own daughter of our foundation VDAR Lucy 4198, who is still in production, raising a big calf. She is already bred back as of this date of 04/27/07 and looks like a five year old. Lots of performance in this cow family. You can see a picture and read all about Lucy 221 and Bandolier 633's full sisters, TO 1916 Lucy 422 and TO 1916 Lucy 521, by clicking here --> Donor or by clicking on our Donor link on the Home page.

The calves out of "Bandolier 633" should really be what the industry needs as far as making replacements females and herd sire prospects. The pedigree, phenotype, performance and muscle expression of his sire, mated with the performance and thick, deep, easy fleshing, high maternal traits of his mother should put the cow back into the cow herds. With Bandolier 633's moderate birth weight, excellent weaning and yearling weight, along with his ultra sound figures, shows his ability for him to work in the feed yards as well.

Don't miss this opportunity to purchase semen from this young Bandolier bred herd sire. A limited amount will be available his first year. Save every daughter he sires.
