As a buyer. If
you decide to purchase off of ACS. I will need an e-mail that has the
complete name, address, and phone of where the purchase is to be
shipped. If the billing address is different from the shipping address I
will need that too.
Next tell me how you want it shipped. For example regular 3 day shipping,
2nd day air, or next day delivery. Knowing the faster it comes to you the
more it will cost. Yes the buyer must pay the shipping costs.
ACS is not a shipping company but once I get the
information from a buyer, I e-mail them a bill that they can print out for
their records that has all of the shipping instructions they sent me. On
this bill is the name and address of where the buyer sends a a cashiers
check (for the purchase only not shipping) and the seller's contact
information. I then let the seller know that their listing is sold.
Nothing moves until we get a cashiers check. Once I receive the check I
send a cashiers check along with the shipping instructions to the seller.
It is the sellers responsibility to get the semen to a place that does the
shipping. If the shipping company will not bill the buyer for the shipping
costs, the seller must pay for the shipping and then bill the buyer. (Do
not send it C.O.D.) The reason for this is that a lot of
the buyers are not at the address all the time and the shipping companies
will not leave the shipping tank if someone is not their to pay for
the shipping and the semen or embryos may be damaged if not delivered
right away.
We do sell a lot for people. We probably sell more semen than what is
listed on the site. In other words people contact us and say if you ever
get this bull or that bull please let us know before you post it on the
ACS Classifieds.
As a seller. I
will need an e-mail that has the complete name, address, and phone of the
seller for my records and so I know where to mail the cashiers check when
and if the semen sells. It is stated on the ACS Classified page we
try to make 10% on all sales of semen and embryo sales. So for
example if you want to put $100.00 per straw in your pocket the
selling price listed would be $110.00 per straw. We get 5% on
livestock sales. When it comes to livestock sales I try my best to just
put the buyer and seller together and get out of the way so both parties
can ask whatever questions they might have. If the animal is sold the
seller just sends me the 5% commission check. Remember to figure in our
selling fees in your selling price. As a seller it is your responsibility
to take the semen or embryos that is sold to a place to have it shipped.
Most sellers don't have a shipper so they take it to a
bull collection place, or and embryo transfer place or the person who
fills their semen tank with nitrogen. Most of these places have shippers
but if you are going to sell the semen or embryos you have to find a place
that ships it. Again, if the shipping company will not bill the buyer for
the shipping costs, the seller must pay for the shipping and then bill the
buyer. (Do not send it C.O.D.) The reason for this
is that a lot of the buyers are not at the address all the time and the
shipping companies will not leave the shipping tank if someone is not
their to pay for the shipping and the semen or embryos may be damaged if
not delivered right away.
Livestock shipping is to be worked out
between the buyer and seller.
It also states that we get $10.00 per month
per ad. We do not charge that $10.00 fee for semen or embryo ads like we
use to when ACS first started out. It is for anything else that is
listed on the classifieds. This stops a lot of small ads like used
brushes, fans, show halters and the like. We got a lot of those
ads when we first started and I did not want the ACS Classifieds going
in that direction.
There is a $10.00 per month fee for
any ad if you want to have a picture included with your ad (that includes
semen and embryo ads.)
When the buyer e-mails me and says they would
like to purchase something of yours on the ACS Classifies, I
send you a check/shipping instruction e-mail telling you the semen has
been sold. Once I get the check I send an exact duplicate of that
check/shipping instruction e-mail along with a cashiers check from me.
Again, nothing moves until we get a cashiers check.
For semen sales, e-mail
me with what bulls you want to sell semen on, how many straws and what you
want per straw plus our 10% selling fee. I then place your ad on the ACS
Classifieds.
For embryo sales,
e-mail me the sire/donor matings, how many embryos, what you want per
embryo plus our 10% selling fee, what grade they are, if they are direct
transfers or 3 step embryos, and a little write up about the donor. Be
sure to include her registration number of the donor.
For livestock sales,
e-mail name, registration number (if applicable) price, and a
little write up about what you want to say about the animal or animals.
Make sure you add our 5% selling fee.
Again, thanks for the interest,
Brian Weaver
