Another young SAV Bandolier 1916 daughter that has made an impact in our herd as well as others. She has the phenotype, the maternal qualities along with easy fleshing and performance we have always put our focus on.

Visitors to Twin Oaks Angus Farm have found our Lucy cow family. VDAR Lucy 4198, our foundation Lucy and the grand dam of Lucy 521, looks like a 5 year old cow still today.  TO 837 Lucy 221, the dam of Lucy 521, is a cow that made pathfinder with her first 3 calves. Just a tremendous producer. You can read about her on our Donor link.

Just study the amateur picture of Lucy 521. Look at her length, depth, femininity, and beautiful udder. Look at the condition she is in raising her big calf all by herself. Now look at the power she puts into her calf.

Her calf pictured is first calf. This is all from grass and momma, no creep at all.

The performance turned in by her first calf is:
BW 70 lbs. ratio 97
Adj WW 822 lbs. ratio 113 (45 days of creep before weaning)
Adj YW 1334 lbs. ratio 112 (fed the entire time on a high roughage 48 NEG diet)
Scrotal 40 cm at a year of age.
We kept this bull as a herd sire for use in our own program.

Just like her full sister Lucy 422, visitors have made the comment of how powerful this young 1916 daughter is.

Like her sister, mother, and grand mother, she brings power, femininity and high maternal growth into the mix.

E-mail us for the chance at embryos out of this donor.
